I hiked about 8 miles today, up the Lawn Lake trail until I hit a snow bank I didn't want to deal with. Might be time to get some snowshoes for some of these hikes.

Then, back down to the junction with the Ypsilon Lake trail and up that trail for about 1.2 miles. There's a nice viewpoint along the Ypsilon Lake trail.

This is my third time at this event. The first two times it was clear and sunny, with great views to all the mountains. Today it was cold, 41°F, with a light but steady rain falling from before the start of the race until well after I finished.

Adjusting for the 7,500 foot elevation of Estes Park, my time is roughly equivalent to a 2:10:00 at sea level.
